WinX DVD Author
WinX DVD Author is a great free tool to make DVD without any technical expertise.
The main interface in WinX DVD Author lets you choose what you want to do: Author a DVD, convert video to VOB format, use the VOB to DVD compiler and a DVD burner. The first is the most interesting part of WinX DVD Author, as this is the part that lets you easily create your own DVD.
There is a simple three-step process to WinX DVD Author. First, using the big plus, minus and up/down buttons you can import and shuffle your video files around. You can also edit the start and end points of each of these files, using the preview window and a slide control. Next decide on the format, standard or widescreen TV, then go to the next stage.
This is a simple menu creator, choose a background image, music if you like and it's off to the last part, where the files are converted and the DVD is burned. It's all extremely simple, and for basic DVD creation, WinX DVD Author is fantastic. What you don't get is any way to edit things like sound levels for your video files, which is important if they come from different sources. The standalone converter seems a bit redundant too, as it's not necessary for creating your DVD!
WinX DVD Author is a great tool for basic DVD creation, but will frustrate more advanced with its lack of editing tools.

What is a false positive?
It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

It’s highly probable this software program is malicious or contains unwanted bundled software.
Why is this software program no longer available in our Catalog?
Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are likely to be real positives.
